The World of Prada: Pradasphere

Prada: A cosmos of its own composed of heavenly bodies set in a complex orbit.  A universe of contradictions and endless elaborations— noble causes and base temptations— where idealism meets vanity, intelligence meets passion, fashion meets fiction.  Welcome to the Pradasphere.

In celebration of 25 years of groundbreaking fashion, Harrods and Prada have come together to exhibit the Italian brands innovative works in the fashion industry.  The exhibit features six central displays of Prada's original creations such as leather goods and objects Mario and Martino sold in the 20th century.  The displays show a plethora of style trends created by Miuccia herself as she considers the same question every season: "What is sexy? And that could be answered in clothes that are very puritanical, or very over the top."

One area is an ode to Prada's input in the cultural world.  This includes her work with Baz Luhrmann in the Great Gatsby and her work with Wes Anderson in Castello Cavalcanti and the Prada Candy Series.  The Prada cafe in Harrods is a recreation of the Marchesi cafe, a patisserie in Milan that Prada recently invested in.  After spending some time in Pradasphere you'll want to step next door to purchase anything Prada.  That's the power of Miuccia Prada.
