Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda 2014

Dolce and Gabbana's 2014 Alta Moda collection shone brightly in the penthouse of Milan.  Stefano and Domenico's fourth couture show explored the world of flowers and arrangements that can be worn on a woman's body.  Dolce says negotiations were made with international museums  to secure the rights in reproducing artwork including Van Gogh's sunflower, Manet's white lilacs and Redons' anemones.

Atelier Dolce and Gabbana dresses created their own art pieces using textiles and embroidered beads and other delicate materials.  The venue itself was transformed into a rose garden fully equipped with soft pink roses and framed vines.

The most impressive dress of them all, the finale, was hand-made with shades of crimson and magenta silk flowers on black.  A beautiful head dress of velvet wire roses resembling those of impressionist paintings.  The ballgown was something grand and out of this world.
