Bring 'Em Out Bring 'Em Out

Whether its vintage or new, bring 'em out for the Fall 2013 season.  We all know that a California "Fall" is not one for the books.  And by that I mean we won't be wearing coats just yet.  It allows us to wear those dresses that were too hot for the summer because of its thick fabric or the silk that would stick to us in this humidity and sunny rays.

Today I revisit the old and am ready to wear the new.

On the left is a Christopher Kane Brocade Shift dress that I have been dying to wear since the winter season.  It is perfect for the beginning of a California Fall.  In the center I have a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress that I recall was from 2008.  It is the perfect dress for the fall with its intricate details on each of its paisley prints.  On the far left is one of the favorites.  A Marni dress.  How could you ever go wrong?

So this Fall make sure to dig in the closet for those old and new goodies that you've been waiting to wear!

Bitches Simmer Down

Kanye West's Pyrex Vision has been a huge hit in the fashion industry.  You can see rappers sport them everywhere.  Yesterday, I was so happy to be delivered my Pyrex Flannel.  I have always wanted one because obviously A$AP reps it like no other and so do my beloved Kardashians.  So, I was able to get my hands on the darker blue/green version.  So ecstatic, outfit of the day to come soon!

"A$AP get like me.  Never met a mothafucka fresh like me.  All these mothafuckas wanna dress like me." FOR THAT I AM GUILTY.

Outfit of the Day: Casual

The opening show at the MOCA last week was a very casual day for me.  Off from my internship, I was able to slip into something way more comfortable for my day.  I wore an easy APC jean romper.  I accessorized with my Isabel Marant Hamsa necklace and my YSL shoulder bag.

They call it Vintage.

Today I would like to present my new Gryphon Vintage Coat.  It is a mixture between a vintage Wrangler jean jacket and coat materials from Gryphon.

Long Live Le Baron!

InstagramWow, today might be the greatest day of my life... Why one may ask? Because Andre Saravia, not only liked but commented my instagram picture.  Don't believe me? @GOLDLAUNDRY
To a seriously religious follower to Mr. A this is dream come true.  From roaming the streets of Paris to find my very own Mr. A's to attending most and all shows here in Los Angeles, I cannot express my joy.
To me, Andre is not only an inspiration to me with just his street art, but also in fashion, music, and other such joys in this world.
Opening show at the MOCA

In other such specks, I was meaning to write about this anyway.  Andre Saravia is a launching a show in Tokyo with Maison Kitsune from September 4th to October 3rd.  In honor of this show, Maison Kitsune has launched the "Dream Concerts" clothing line.  This includes the hoodies, shirts, and bags with prints of the dream concerts, and of course the original 'Parisien' sweater.  This will launch on September 4 with the opening of the show.

If not in Tokyo, the Dream Concerts have also launched in the MOCA in Los Angeles, but you can also find some in the streets of LA.  Look closely and you can spot some too! The show is open now.

Mr. A at Art in the Streets

There is seriously an overload of things I could say about Andre.  The CD that I picked up at Kitsune in Paris, to the Art in the Streets show a few years ago, to the Levi x Andre collection, to Andre pour the 30th anniversary of Claudie Pierlot, as well as his friendships with my favorite artists such as Kavinsky.  Needless to say, Long Live Le Baron.

Mes deux hommes français préférés.

Andre Saravia inspired me to this a few years back after his collection of Baron Dollars.  So thank you for always inspiring me till this day!

Real Fantasies

Presented by Prada:
For the Real Fantasies FW2013 by AMO, Prada introduces a sophisticated domestic imagery.  Characters perform in a world of distorted normality, a collection of everyday moments assembled together to form the film noir of commonness.

The main topics explored in the collection stem from raw elegance and banal emotion, weaving in multiple interconnected stories. Profound romanticism, stories of normal men, women, and life are brought together as an animated puzzle of recognizable daily elements.

For the first time, the inspirations from both MAN and WOMAN shows overlap to shape a distorted graphic universe.  Urbanity and a mysterious domestic ambience merge in a sequence of stories where simplicity is observed as the ultimate form of perfection.

Habemus Papam!

I don't think there is one person in this world that is fashion conscious that would ever question the roles, ideas, and especially styles of Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour.  These demigods are portrayed by Alexsandro Palombo in the humorous recreations of fashions elite.  One can only laugh, am I right?

Whole Grainz Like A BO$$

Introduced to me this morning, I started off my day with a nutritious and balanced way of life: Rappers & Cereal.  They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day so why not?  From Jigga Jacks and Lucky Lamars to my favorite Fig Bois, Rappers & Cereal pay tribute to rap legends.  With 2 parts cereal, 1 part Photoshop, these fantasy cereals were created.
