Stella McCartney Resort 2013

Is there a better way to celebrate a new season than having a carnival? I don't think so... Set in East Village, celebrities and Stella's models came to launch her resort collection.  The collection features bright yellows, an emphasis on lace and oversized sweaters with a combination of wildly beautiful flower prints.

DIY: Glitter Sole Pumps

Have a pair of pumps you're bored of or want to spice up your shoe wardrobe? I know I have many pairs of shoes that I'm sick of!  Miu Miu Glitter Sole is this season's IT shoe.  What better way to bring your old pumps a new look with a Miu Miu inspired glitter sole.

What you need:
Craft store glitter (preferably a thick cut glitter, not thin)
Glitter Glue or Tacky Glue
A pair of heels you wish to sparkle

It's pretty self explanatory, but just add glue to the sole of your shoes and then add a glitter of your choice!

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 RTW

The catalogs given to me at Dolce & Gabbana in Milano, Italy.  The show is one of my favorite of the season, including the intricacy of lace and the tapestry inspired textiles.

Jay Howell is one of my favorite artists.  His book: Page from Books Vol. 1 made my day :)  Jay Howell had a gallery show at the hippest comic book store in LA.  It's dark oak interior drew my eye and I couldn't help but walk in.  The Secret Headquarters is small and quaint yet it seems to hold just the right books.  Although, I'm not the avid comic book reader, each and every book seemed to grab my attention.  When I saw Jay Howell's book I just knew I had to have it!

Thanks to my boyfriend Dylan who surprises me with flowers in Paris and at home!  Waking up to the beautiful flowers everyday!

Summer Tunes

Thanks to my beautiful friend Phoebe and her discovery of Arthur King, it's all I've been listening to.  Mixes featuring Kendrick Lamar, Notorious, Azealia Banks, Kanye and Jay-Z, there couldn't be better music to lay poolside or road crusin.

Most Wanted

Today, I think of my most wanted items at the moment and they include Mary Katrantzou's Autumn/Winter '12 collection and Givenchy's rottweiler shirts.  Specifically, Mary's typewriter coat.  When I saw this at the store front of Colette, I died and went to coat heaven.  Who wouldn't want this fabulous coat?  I'm a sucker for anything with repetitive prints.  Can't have enough of them in my closet.  Upon, walking into Excelsior in Milan, I was greeted and I do not put this lightly by this lovely rottweiler muscle tank top that I could not keep my eyes off of.  It's the classic Rottwiler tank, but even better because it's circled by beautiful clear yellowish tint crystal accents on the front.  Who said anything about my birthday coming up?

Comptoir de L'image

Spending two months in Paris has allowed me to rekindle my love for fashion and the arts.  Nothing could be more important than the two in Parisian culture.  But who said that couldn't be the same for us Californians, LA to be exact?  Upon visiting Comptoir de L'image, a seriously hidden treasure of a bookstore in the Marias in the heart of Paris, I found myself indulging myself in the amount of vintage, new, modern, catalogs, and current fashion books they had. I literally had a "lady boner" as MR would say.  The store, full to the brim, is a place where you can seriously find the rarest fashion catalog from years ago.  It's apparently a place Marc Jacobs visits when he needs to reference something.  This marks the start of my blog and this is what inspires it.
